# Bugatti Bolide Photos Reveal Track-Only Hypercar's Aggressive Design
Bugatti has released additional imagery of the Bolide, its extreme track-focused hypercar that pushes the boundaries of performance engineering. The new photos showcase the vehicle's uncompromising aerodynamic design built specifically for circuit use rather than road compliance.
The Bolide ditches the Chiron's refined proportions in favor of aggressive lines and massive downforce elements. A towering rear wing dominates the rear end, while the front features a gaping intake designed to feed cooling systems and the quad-turbocharged 8.3-liter W16 engine. Bugatti claims the Bolide produces 1,850 horsepower, the same output as the road-going Chiron Super Sport but optimized differently for track dynamics.
Weight reduction defines the Bolide's philosophy. Bugatti stripped everything unnecessary, using carbon fiber extensively throughout the chassis and body. The result sits at approximately 1,240 kilograms (2,734 pounds), nearly 700 pounds lighter than the Chiron, translating to a power-to-weight ratio that puts most contemporary supercars to shame.
Track performance drives every design decision. The Bolide features adjustable suspension geometry, a race-oriented transmission, and brake systems engineered for sustained high-speed cornering. Aerodynamic elements generate substantial downforce without sacrificing top speed, a balance that separates genuine track tools from mere posturing.
Bugatti limits Bolide production to 40 units, each priced at approximately 5.8 million dollars. The hypercar targets collectors seeking the absolute limit of internal combustion performance before electric dominance reshapes the industry. Only 15 units have sold thus far, with Bugatti accepting orders through 2027.
