The Seltos Hybrid joins Kia's broader strategy to offer electrified options across its portfolio. The automaker already sells hybrid variants of the Sportage and Niro, giving it proven powertrain experience in the compact and subcompact crossover spaces. A hybrid Seltos makes strategic sense. The current gasoline Seltos, priced around $26,000 to $33,000, competes directly with the Honda HRV, Hyundai Kona, and Toyota Corolla Cross. Adding hybrid capability strengthens Kia's position against competitors who have already deployed hybrid tech in this segment.
