BYD and Mogox unveiled the B90, an 8.5-metre level 4 autonomous bus with right-hand drive, at Singapore Urban Mobility Week 2026. The electric bus pairs BYD's platform with Mogox's Mogo AutoPilot software and targets international markets.
BYD handles vehicle engineering and manufacturing. Mogox, a Beijing-based firm, provides software, system integration, and operating know-how. The partners fit autonomy hardware and software during production to improve compatibility and enable deployment at scale, rather than retrofitting existing buses.
The system uses cameras and solid-state LiDAR and is localized for left-hand traffic. It handles mixed traffic, junctions, and bus stop approaches. The bus has a low floor and short rear overhang to navigate narrow streets and ease boarding for elderly passengers and those with reduced mobility.
Mogox has divided market adaptation into seven reusable modules covering regulations, vehicle platforms, fleet management, and local support networks. This structure shortens rollout timelines for new markets. Singapore serves as the launchpad. Mogox holds the contract for Singapore's first official level 4 bus project and passed the Land Transport Authority's first milestone test.
Partners include ComfortDelGro Bus in Singapore, LG Electronics in South Korea, and Sales-Lentz Group and Clément Bayard in Luxembourg. Mogox's own Mogobus vehicles operate in over 20 Chinese cities. The partnership gives BYD a factory-built autonomous option for export markets.
