SinterCast will install its System 4000 Plus casting technology at an unnamed northern European truckmaker's foundry in November. The foundry will use the system to produce compacted graphite iron (CGI) cylinder blocks for a new 13-litre truck engine, with casting to begin before year-end.

The engine programme is expected to boost SinterCast's series output by over 20% at full volume. The new system will connect to the foundry's existing Ladle Tracker system for improved process control and traceability.

SinterCast earned more than 90% of its revenue from production fees tied to CGI volumes. The company says its technology supplies about two-thirds of global CGI output.

The 13-litre engine was announced for North America on 5 May 2026 and became a global platform on 12 May. Other SinterCast licensees already hold volumes for the engine. CEO Vítor Anjos expects the extra volume to phase in during 2027 and 2028, targeting eight million Engine Equivalents by 2031.
