BMW is adding 44 horsepower to the 2027 X3 M50 xDrive, bringing output to 437 hp from the 2026 model's 393 hp. The 3.0-liter turbocharged B58 straight-six now powers the luxury performance crossover to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, or 4 seconds with a 1-foot rollout, compared to the prior year's 4.4-second time.

The power bump narrows the gap with the Mercedes-AMG GLC53, which produces 443 hp from its 3.0-liter turbo straight-six. The Audi SQ5 makes 362 hp and hits 60 mph in 4.6 seconds.

All 2027 X3 M50s receive the 44-hp gain and get an updated exhaust system that BMW describes as sounding "deeper" and "more resonant."

BMW is offering a new $3,800 Black Package on the 2027 X3 M50 that includes black 22-inch M alloy wheels, black M Sport brake calipers, black-and-silver M badges, blacked-out interior trim with Alcantara suede, matte carbon-aluminum surfaces, smoky silver door sill trim, and an M steering wheel.

All 2027 X3 models receive cabin updates: a new "PVC Softskin" surface in front of the touchscreen, new dash stitching, ambient lighting for the center console cubby and door handles, a new glove box opener, and stainless steel cargo sill protectors.

The 2027 BMW X3 M50 starts at $67,500 plus $1,350 destination.
