BYD's workforce surpassed 1.02 million employees, according to chairman Wang Chuanfu. The Chinese automaker now employs more people than Toyota, GM, Ford, and Tesla combined. BYD reported 869,600 employees at the end of 2025. The company added roughly 150,000 workers in 10 months, even as vehicle sales declined.
