Toyota reported Q2 revenue of 13.4 trillion yen, up 8.6% year-over-year. The company lowered its full-year revenue forecast by 0.5 trillion yen to 53.5 trillion yen, though this still exceeds last year's 50.7 trillion yen.
The automaker is pursuing aggressive cost control across its value chain and pushing sales of hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) in the U.S. market as core strategies to manage the revised outlook.
