Ineos introduces the 2027 Grenadier Quartermaster, a mid-size pickup truck based on its Grenadier Wagon SUV. The truck uses a five-foot bed (61.5 inches) instead of the wagon's enclosed cargo area, with a slightly stretched wheelbase. Mechanicals remain nearly identical to the wagon.
Power comes from a BMW-sourced turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six producing 281 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, solid axles front and rear, and permanent four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case. A locking center differential is standard, with front and rear lockers available.
The Quartermaster achieves a 7,716-pound tow rating and carries a 1,840-pound payload capacity. Those figures exceed the Toyota Tacoma and marginally outpace the Chevy Colorado at 7,700 pounds. Acceleration to 60 mph takes 8.1 seconds. Fuel economy registers 14 mpg city, 14 mpg highway, and 14 mpg combined according to EPA estimates.
Like the Jeep Gladiator, the Quartermaster uses recirculating-ball steering rather than rack-and-pinion, creating a vague feel that underscores the truck's vintage character. The bed narrows to 44.8 inches between wheel housings, making standard sheet goods difficult to haul.
Ineos adds a Helmsman trim as the most affordable entry, with a Fieldmaster Highlands edition at the top offering saddle leather trim, heated Recaro seats, and unique alloy wheels. The base price for the 2025 model year stands at $94,500.
The truck includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, multiple USB ports, and a 120-volt outlet. Safety features encompass lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, speed limit detection, and driver drowsiness monitoring. All Grenadier frames carry a 12-year perforation warranty.
