Battery-electric vehicles captured 37% of Germany's new car market in October, with 94,086 BEVs registered according to the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt, the country's federal motor vehicle authority. That represents a 79.5% jump from 52,425 BEVs sold in October a year earlier.

For the second consecutive month, German buyers registered more fully electric cars than gasoline and diesel vehicles combined. With two months remaining in the year, Germany has already surpassed the auto industry's EV forecast for all of 2026.
