The Toyota GR GT3 made its racing debut this weekend at Motegi Circuit in Japan during the final round of the Super GT series. Rookie Racing fielded the number 32 Eneos X Prime GR GT3, swapping it in for the Mercedes-AMG GT3 the team typically runs. The car wore bright orange and red livery with yellow accents and Eneos branding.

Rookie Racing is owned and backed by Akio Toyoda. This marks the first wheel-to-wheel racing action for the GR GT3 in a racing series.

Toyota plans to bring the GR GT3 to the U.S. for the 2027 IMSA season. The road-going GR GT supercar is scheduled to launch toward the end of next year.
