Suzuki revealed two new motorcycles at EICMA built around decades-old engines. The SV-7S uses a 27-year-old SV650 engine displacing 645 cc and producing 73 horsepower. It updates the outgoing SV650 with new lighting, emissions equipment, a quickshifter, and ride-by-wire throttle while retaining the prior frame and engine. The bike meets Euro 5+ emissions standards and will be available in Europe.

The GSX-10R is largely a faired version of the GSX-S1000 naked literbike, built around a 21-year-old K5 GSX-R1000 engine. Despite similar displacement to the top-tier GSX-R1000, Suzuki positions the GSX-10R as more streetable, with lower footpegs, USB power, and a torque-rich engine for riding off redline. The bike includes a full suite of electronics covering traction control, braking, launch assist, engine braking, hill starts, and cruise control.

Suzuki intends the GSX-10R to sit between the GSX-8R and the highest-performance Gixxer, functioning as a four-cylinder literbike aimed at daily riders seeking both comfort and reliability.
