Fiat's 2027 Topolino has received street-legal approval in the United States, classified as a low-speed vehicle. The NHTSA designation limits the Topolino to a maximum speed of 20 to 25 mph and restricts it to roads with posted speed limits of 35 mph or less. The car can cross higher-speed roads only at intersections.
The Topolino's 5-kWh battery and 8-horsepower motor already cap its top speed at 25 mph, matching the LSV ceiling. The powertrain delivers a 46-mile range on a full charge.
For the U.S. market, Fiat adds two exterior colors: Corallo Orange and Luna Greige. The American version gains a full-color digital instrument cluster and will offer an Open Air body style with a rollback soft-top roof in addition to the hardtop. Fiat also built a special Topolino in collaboration with Sanlorenzo Yachts.
U.S. pricing starts at $14,985 and includes complimentary delivery within a 50-mile radius of the purchasing dealer. Fiat noted the delivery radius likely reflects the vehicle's limited range.
