Fat Fender Garage, an Arizona restoration shop, unveiled the GT/FX at SEMA, a restomod that pairs a 1956 Ford F-100 body with modern performance engineering. The truck mixes classic truck styling with supercar capability.
The shop reshaped the steel body with a flatter hood and roof, wider fenders, and a more aggressive stance. A chin splitter and rear diffuser from a Mustang GT350 give it a track-ready appearance. The bed features flared edges and a push-button tailgate. Carbon fiber mirrors, a gray paint finish with an offset black racing stripe, and the original grille complete the exterior.
Under the hood sits a Gen 3 Ford Coyote 5.0-liter V-8 topped with a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger, producing 800 horsepower and 750 pound-feet of torque. A Ford 10R80 10-speed automatic transmission sends power to HRE wheels wrapped in 315/35R-20 Toyo Proxes Sport 2 tires. Wilwood disc brakes with six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers handle stopping duties.
The cabin mixes modern and vintage elements with leather bucket seats, a modern screen, discreetly integrated controls, hidden climate vents, interior LED lighting, and a modern audio system. The truck rides on Fat Fender Garage's own FF1 Performance Coilover chassis, designed to deliver sporty handling beneath the vintage body.
