Meso Customs, a Yuba City, California-based tuning shop, built the Lexus TX1 for the 2026 SEMA Show. The vehicle blends a Lexus GX 550 with a fourth-generation Toyota Tacoma to create a luxury off-road pickup truck concept.
The TX1 carries GX design elements including horizontal grille slats and a prominent silver Lexus badge. A rally-style light bar sits atop the windshield, and a high-clearance metal front bumper provides off-road capability. The project started as a CGI rendering before Meso Customs spent a year building it using CAD designs and fabricated pieces.
The truck runs a lift kit from King Off-Road Racing Shocks, 74Weld portal axles, and 38-inch Toyo Tires. The rear features a straight-across LED light bar from the GX550 and a tucked bumper. The custom-built bed incorporates the shape of a GX hatch into the Tacoma shell. Baja Designs lights mount underneath and to the side of the wing mirrors.
Meso Customs displayed the TX1 with a color-matched Honda Grom in the truck bed. The report states the TX1 build was not officially sponsored by Toyota or Lexus, and no luxury Tacoma derivative should be expected from the automaker soon. The TX1 is on display at the Toyo Tires Treadpass exhibit at the 2026 SEMA Show.
