Nissan built a one-off Sentra Spec-V for the 2026 SEMA Show that produces 300 horsepower from a turbocharged MR20DD engine paired with a modified six-speed manual transmission sourced from the Juke Nismo RS. The manual includes a helical limited-slip differential.

The car uses suspension components from Nissan's discontinued Nismo Sentra, including a "customer track version" of coilover springs with new external-reservoir front shocks and a sway bar set. The chassis received additional rigidity modifications, with damping profiles and spring rates adjusted for performance driving.

Exterior modifications are extensive. The car wears a widebody kit from Bomex, a custom hood with an intake inlet, an R35 GT-R Nismo rear spoiler, and a custom wrap. A side-exit exhaust completes the build.

Nissan notes the Sentra Spec-V does not preview a production model. The brand no longer offers a hot sport compact to rival the Hyundai Elantra N or high-end Civic variants. The current Sentra SR represents the closest production option, though it is not designed for autocross performance.
