Volvo CE has deployed battery-powered equipment into the National Wildlife Refuge System for the first time. An ECR25 Electric compact excavator and L25 Electric compact wheel loader are operating in the refuge system to improve accessibility while producing zero emissions.
The move marks the first use of electric construction equipment within the refuge network. Volvo CE designed both machines for compact-scale work that does not disturb wildlife habitat.
